Psalm 90:15 (ESV)

15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil.

Moses recognized that the people’s affliction was coming from God. He prayed for Yahweh to return and give them as many years of joy as there had been years of suffering.
