Commentary on Song of Solomon 4:5 (Summary)

Song of Solomon 4:5 (ESV)

5 Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle, that graze among the lilies.

The wife's two breasts are so familiar to him. To him they are signs of softness, tenderness, intense gentle love—soft, innocent, and tender as the twins of a gazelle. They bear witness to him of the peace that emanates from them when gazelles graze peacefully in the field among the lilies.
