Significant moments in Jesus’s first public appearance

Mark 1:1–20 (ESV)

1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

There are three significant moments:

  1. His baptism by John and then the temptation by Satan.

  2. The proclamation of the good news that God’s kingdom is approaching.

  3. The calling of his first disciples to make them fishers of men.
