Sa réponse indique que les intérêts de cet homme ne sont pas les mêmes que ceux de Josué.1 Il n’est pas venu pour aider Israël, mais pour prendre le contrôle de la guerre. Cela souligne que la guerre appartient à l’Éternel et qu’Israël doit se soumettre au commandement de l’Éternel.2
