What does 2 Peter 3:8-10 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? Jesus Christ is both Lord and Saviour. He is the one who has lived the perfect life in my place and paid the penalty for my sin so that I do not have to fear judgment when the Lord returns in glory. Even if my deeds should be exposed before the world, I still have nothing to fear since Christ has paid for all my sin and my future with God depends not on my deeds but the good works of Christ which have been imputed to me through faith in him.
