2 Peter 1:16-21 focuses in on the return of Jesus Christ. The mention of the transfiguration provides an opportunity to reflect on what the Gospels say about that event and interpret it in an eschatological framework. It also provides much scope for reflecting on how Christ came to fulfill various promises and how all of Scripture points to him.
