How did Solomon show reverence for the Lord in the building of the temple?

1 Rois 6:7 (NEG79)

7 Lorsqu'on bâtit la maison, on se servit de pierres toutes taillées, et ni marteau, ni hache, ni aucun instrument de fer, ne furent entendus dans la maison pendant qu'on la construisait.

The people had prepared everything for the temple in advance. After everything was prepared, it was taken to the place where the temple was built. There they could fit it together—without noise. That is reverence for the Lord. This is what Solomon calls the fear of the Lord in his proverbs. That attitude was also reflected in the fact that they built the temple according to the model of God (1 Chronicles 28:19). God had given Moses the design of his house (Exodus 25:8–9). He also gave it to David, who handed it over to his son Solomon. The temple was made exactly according to God’s model (and it was not built after the pattern of the pagan temples, as is claimed in some books).
