The struggles that come with keeping God’s commands and holding the faith will one day end. Christians may endure the struggle in the confidence that eternal rest is sure to come.
We tend to look up against death, even pushing death away as if this life is better than what is to come. The voice from heaven, confirmed by the Holy Spirit, teaches us to evaluate death as a door to blessedness, happiness. Appreciating that perspective means we will not hold on to this life at all costs, even in our medically advanced society.
