A bird wandering from its nest leaves its comforts, security, rest, and responsibility. So it is with a person who is never content to stay at home. Changeable people flee from blessings. We are indeed pilgrims in this life, and in a sense are always on the move with Jesus, the pioneer of our faith. Yet he provides us with at least a tent, in a place he knows to be most pleasant and beneficial to us, if only we would see it (Psalm 16:6). Sin makes us restless; our Saviour invites us to enjoy peace at home.
8 Comme l'oiseau qui erre loin de son nid,Ainsi est l'homme qui erre loin de son lieu.
