Commentary on Proverbs 25:23 (Summary)

Proverbes 25:23 (NEG79)

23 Le vent du nord enfante la pluie,Et la langue mystérieuse un visage irrité.

As certain winds always bring bad weather, so a backbiting tongue always leads to more anger. Such anger is well deserved when one is too cowardly, malicious, or irresponsible to tell the other person directly what he has done wrong, but instead sneaks around verbally stabbing in the back. These are winds that we can and should keep from blowing.
