The number of physical possessions we have does not matter as much as the way by which we acquire and in which we enjoy them. The worldly man wants many things, and he is willing to fight for them, foolishly thinking that having them will satisfy him. The godly man knows better; he realizes that he needs only one thing which is to enjoy the secret of being content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:11–13).
