Commentary on 1 Corinthians 2:6 (Summary)

1 Corinthiens 2:6 (NEG79)

6 Cependant, c'est une sagesse que nous prêchons parmi les parfaits, sagesse qui n'est pas de ce siècle, ni des chefs de ce siècle, qui vont être réduits à l'impuissance;

From here to 1 Corinthians 2:13, Paul focuses on the opposite of human wisdom: the wisdom that comes from God. This wisdom is imparted by the apostles (Paul uses the word we to refer to himself and to his fellow apostles).

But the wisdom that is imparted by the apostles can only be understood by the mature. In 1 Corinthians 3:1 Paul will contrast the mature with those who are infants in Christ. The mature are those who have come to accept the wisdom of God in Christ, through faith that was given them by the Spirit.
