Jesus Christ’s worship was not flashy but sacrificial. His worship was not focused on fulfilling his desires, he delighted in doing the Father’s will. His worship was not functional but relational. He did not worship in order to get something from God but he worshipped the Father because he is worthy. He trusted the Father with his life on the cross: Father, into your hands I commit my spirit,
he said. That is what worship should be like.
