What is said of Enoch in the Old Testament?

We find the testimony of Enoch in Genesis 5:1–32. This chapter gives the genealogy of the offspring of the woman (Genesis 3:15) and Genesis 4:1–26 tells about the offspring of the serpent. Genesis 5:1–32 reveals two very striking things about Enoch. The first thing is that he is the only one of whom is said that he walked with the Lord. That means that he lived in an intimate relationship with God. The second thing is that he died young. In Genesis 5:1–32 they died at very old age (the oldest, Methuselah, lived 939 years) but Enoch only lived 365 years.
