1. Apocalypse 12:1–6 (NEG79)
  2. Explication du texte

What purpose do the signs serve?

Revelation (Apocalypse) 12:1–6 (ESV)

1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

The two signs of this paragraph were intended to underscore the reliability and validity of the elders’ declaration in Revelation 11:15. The fact that the newborn was snatched away from the jaws of the dragon and taken to the throne of God (and all that in the face of the woman’s helplessness) distinctly illustrates the accuracy of the elder’s declaration.
