What does the protection and provision of God look like in practice? We know that by his Spirit and through the means of grace God will keep us persevering in our faith. As we listen to faithful Bible teaching, we will be encouraged to keep trusting in Jesus Christ. But when it comes to our everyday needs, our daily bread so to speak, how exactly should we trust God to care for us? Will God provide for us miraculously, or does he provide for us through ordinary means? Should we get rid of our life insurance or medical aid, taking risks that will testify to our faith in God, or do we try to minimize our risks, never doing anything that might put God to the test?
Ezra 8 provides us with some practical examples of how God cares for his people as they journey to the Promised Land.
