Matthew 13:19 speaks of those who hear the Word, but do not reflect on it—they are snatched away by the evil one. They do not understand it, and this becomes their downfall. The reason is not that they are unable to understand, but that they make no effort to understand. And in those who are unwilling, Satan can do his work; he will immediately snatch away the word.1
