12At that time the Jews who lived near them came from all directions and said to us ten times, “You must return to us.”
These words indicate that the sentiments expressed later in this verse were voiced at the same time as the rumours of the previous verse were circulating (together with the ditty). Negative message, then, is piling up on negative message.
