How did Nehemiah respond to Sanballat’s derision?

Nehemiah (Néhémie) 4:4 (ESV)

4 Hear, O our God, for we are despised. Turn back their taunt on their own heads and give them up to be plundered in a land where they are captives.

Word of Sanballat’s derisive remarks came to the ears of the men working on Jerusalem’s wall (Nehemiah 4:5) and to Nehemiah himself. Nehemiah responded with prayer to God, complaining to him that we are despised.
