In Matthew 8:11 the kingdom of heaven signifies the future world in which the resurrected patriarchs along with all the righteous who had died under the Old Covenant will sit down at the same table to share in the heavenly feast with a multitude of Gentile believers (Mark 14:25, Revelation 19:9).1
