Here we encounter the same order of God that we have seen in Proverbs 10:2. Wisdom in the fear of the Lord makes one “diligent.” Such diligence will often bring an increase in possessions and wealth. The same is true of nations and countries. If many people are working hard, an economy can be expected to grow. Money that is obtained without hard work will not last for long.
