The Lord explains in the second part of the verse what the result of obedience would be: That I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the Lord.
When the people repent and reorder their priorities by building the house and worshipping God in the place of his presence, he will be pleased and glorified.
8 Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the LORD.
