The positive of the warning is now made clear. If Israel were punished on account of disobedience, their futile actions would drive them to seek again the Lord their God. Idolatry would awaken their longing for the true God. And God would remain faithful to his promise, and so they would find him if they sought after him with all their heart and soul.
29 C'est de là aussi que tu chercheras l'Eternel, ton Dieu, et que tu le trouveras, si tu le cherches de tout ton cœur et de toute ton âme.
