Paul speaks of peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. You see, Paul longs for his readers to know this peace whereby we are brought into God’s family as beloved children, and then receive power to live under the Lordship of Jesus. Now the peace of salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ. Paul will say in Ephesians 2:14 that
He himself is our peace.Let me ask you: Do you know that peace? Do you know peace with God? Are you able to say that you are in a right relationship with God, that your sins are forgiven, that God accepts you?You say,

And it is God’s work in you that you do so; trusting in the Lord Jesus, you are a member of his family, you are forgiven, you are justified through faith alone.
