31After him Malchijah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired as far as the house of the temple servants and of the merchants, opposite the Muster Gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.
Nehemiah had previously mentioned goldsmiths in Nehemiah 3:8 (see on that verse). We know nothing about this Malchijah. He ought not to be confused with his namesakes in Nehemiah 3:11 and Nehemiah 3:14.
