To seek refuge in the Lord is to seek his protection. The Psalms are filled with mention of those who seek refuge, or take shelter, in the Lord, as people who love and serve the Lord (Psalm 5:11–12; Psalm 31:17–20; Psalm 34:21–22), in contrast to the wicked.
