What does 2 Samuel 7:1–17 reveal about what God the Son does in my place and on my behalf?
Jesus Christ is the king who perfectly obeys God, thereby inheriting an eternal kingdom. He is also the one who builds a true house for God, a people made holy through faith in him so that God can dwell in them by his Spirit and so that they can look forward to eternal life in God’s presence in the new creation.
