What does 2 Samuel 6 reveal about what God the Son does in my place and on my behalf?
Jesus Christ is the great King who enables me to enjoy life in God’s presence. God the Son took on flesh and perfectly obeyed God’s will; he is the burnt offering, a life of complete devotion to God. He also died the death that I deserve for my sin; he is the sin offering who satisfies God’s wrath. As a result of his work, sinners can enjoy life in God’s presence because he provides the righteousness that is needed and he deals with the problem of sin which keeps us far from God.
