Seraiah is also called Sheva (2 Samuel 20:25) and Shavsha (1 Chronicles 18:16). We do not have any further information about Seraiah. It is likely that the secretary assisted the recorder in his work,1 and also took responsibility for correspondence and (later) temple collections (2 Kings 12:10).2
