What does 2 Samuel 7:18–29 reveal about what God the Son does in my place and on my behalf?
Jesus Christ is the king who perfectly obeys God, thereby inheriting an eternal kingdom. As a result of his obedience, he has access to the presence of God. And he is now busy praying to the Father, interceding for me. Through faith, I can share in all the benefits which he has won and look forward to a life with God in glory because Christ has paid the penalty for my sin and obeyed God’s law in my place.
