What do we know about Kileab?

2 Samuel 3:3 (NEG79)

3 le second, Kileab, d'Abigaïl de Carmel, femme de Nabal; le troisième, Absalom, fils de Maaca, fille de Talmaï, roi de Gueschur;

This is the only mention of Kileab in the Bible. He is probably also called Daniel in 1 Chronicles 3:1.1 The name itself (Kileab) could mean Restraint of the father, possibly an allusion to Abigail restraining David from violence (see 1 Samuel 25:1–44). 2 It is assumed that he died at a young age so that he was not around to enter the fray to determine David’s successor as king.3
