What does 2 Samuel 2:1–11 reveal about what God the Son does in my place and on my behalf?
God the Son took on flesh to dwell among us. He came to suffer the wrath of God in the place of wicked sinners. He also came to live the perfect life in their place, obedient to God’s law in everything. In that regard he merited life in God’s presence, the true Promised Land, for all God’s people. Resurrected from the grave, he is now ruling from heaven, gathering his church and caring for his people.
