How did Paul and Barnabas stay safe when they went back to the cities where they were previously persecuted?
It is unlikely that Paul and Barnabas engaged in public preaching during their visit to the cities. They went to strengthen believers and so they spent their time with the believers, gathering in their homes. Since they did not go to the synagogue or the public square, their presence was not as obvious and they were able to complete their work.1
