How do our bodies become instruments for righteousness?

Romains 6:13 (NEG79)

13 Ne livrez pas vos membres au péché, comme des instruments d'iniquité; mais donnez-vous vous-mêmes à Dieu, comme étant vivants de morts que vous étiez, et offrez à Dieu vos membres, comme des instruments de justice.

In Romans 6:13a Paul therefore presents sin as a cruel ruler of people—one to whom we provide the weaponry and instruments of torture by allowing our body parts be governed by our passions. God’s love makes this reign of terror among the people come tumbling down, however, and for this reason Paul writes in Romans 6:13b in a similarly expressive way: present…your members to God as instruments for righteousness. When our hands, feet, and eyes are governed by the love of God, they become weapons to free, heal, and help other people. Our bodies becoming instruments for righteousness means that the shiver of our own desires no longer pass through our hands and eyes, so that they offend against others, but that the current of God’s love flows through our hands and eyes so that they become instruments for justice, honesty, and healing for those around us.1
