As they had done in Cyprus (Acts 13:4) and Antioch (Acts 13:14), Paul and Barnabas begin their missionary endeavours by seeking an opportunity to speak at the synagogue.1 This is where they would find an audience that is already familiar with God’s revelation and waiting for the coming of the Messiah. It was a natural and strategic point of contact.
