God the Holy Spirit works a true faith in my heart in response to the preaching of the gospel. Without the help/work of the Spirit, I would rebel against God’s revelation instead of responding with faith. Having brought me to faith in Jesus Christ, the Spirit now helps me to serve him with joy, and continue to listen and submit to his commandments.
