The good news of peace through Jesus Christ is the good news that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ who brings about peace between man and God (see Luke 2:14; Romans 5:1). The peace in view corresponds to the Hebrew concept of well-being, associated with the messianic age (Luke 10:5; Luke 19:42), and freedom from hostile power (Luke 1:71, Luke 1:78).1 Peter’s words imply that Cornelius has already received some news about Jesus.
36 Il a envoyé la parole aux fils d'Israël, en leur annonçant la paix par Jésus-Christ, qui est le Seigneur de tous.
