Who are the servants and the soldier that Cornelius sends?

Actes 10:7 (NEG79)

7 Dès que l'ange qui lui avait parlé fut parti, Corneille appela deux de ses serviteurs, et un soldat pieux d'entre ceux qui étaient attachés à sa personne;

Servants were members of the household. Households in the time of the New Testament were broad social units that included immediate family and even slaves.1 A soldier was someone in Cornelius’ company. The solder is said to be devout, implying that he, also, was God-fearing just like Cornelius.2
