Who were Saul’s travelling companions?

Actes 9:7 (NEG79)

7 Les hommes qui l'accompagnaient demeurèrent stupéfaits; ils entendaient bien la voix, mais ils ne voyaient personne.

Given the fact that Saul had plans to arrest both men and women in Jerusalem, he must have travelled with a number of individuals who would be able to help him in that regard. As such, it is assumed that he was accompanied by members of the temple police.1 Elsewhere in Acts we are told that Saul’s companions heard a sound but they did not understand what was spoken (Acts 22:9). Likewise, they saw a light but did not see the resurrected Christ (Acts 22:9).2
