Behold,
the clear and decisive word from the Lord is that he will feed his people with bitter food and give them poisonous water to drink.
The coming judgment is here described as bitter food and poisoned water that the Lord himself will give to his people. The truly wise person will recognize this as the Lord’s warning and even now respond in repentance.
