The Lord has paid attention and listened
to his people. He has carefully observed them and listened to their words and yet he finds no evidence at all of a right response to his words spoken to them through his prophet. None of his people have stopped to reflect on their behaviour saying, What have I done?
No man repents and relents of his evil.
6 Je suis attentif, et j'écoute: Ils ne parlent pas comme ils devraient; Aucun ne se repent de sa méchanceté, Et ne dit: Qu'ai-je fait? Tous reprennent leur course, Comme un cheval qui s'élance au combat.
