One God in three persons: What does Matthew 7:24-29 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (Son)?
God the Son is the Good Shepherd who gives his life for the sheep. He came to live the perfect life of obedience in the place of God’s people and to bear the judgment that sheep deserve for their inability to obey God’s law. As a result of his work, those who are united to him by faith can be sure that they will stand on the day of judgment and receive the reward that Christ has earned for them.
