In Matthew 6:24, Jesus has affirmed that one cannot serve both God and money. He has impressed upon his disciples the need to be focused on and devoted to the will of God. The Lord demands unswerving loyalty from his subjects.1 A question which naturally follows from this demand is the matter of provision. Will God provide for his people if they focus on seeking God’s will? Jesus’ answer is affirmative. There is no need to worry; God will care for his children.2
