One God in three persons: What does Matthew 6:5-15 reveal about who God is (Father)?

Matthieu 6:5–15 (NEG79)

5 Lorsque vous priez, ne soyez pas comme les hypocrites, qui aiment à prier debout dans les synagogues et aux coins des rues, pour être vus des hommes. Je vous le dis en vérité, ils ont leur récompense.

  • God is the Father of those who believe in Jesus Christ.

  • God is concerned for kingdom citizens.

  • God expects his people to be changed by the grace that he has shown them in Christ.

  • God forgives sin.

  • God is in complete control; all people are dependent on him.

  • God sees the depths of human hearts; he knows when prayer comes from a place of hypocrisy or paganism. God sees all that is done in secret, nothing is hidden from his view.

  • God is able to help Christians, he hears and answers prayer. He does not need to be convinced to help them.

  • God is concerned for the glory of his name and the growth of his kingdom.

  • God cannot be manipulated by special words or prayers.
