Leviticus 25:32 provides an exception to the regulations given in Leviticus 25:29–30. Levitical cities are treated differently. If a Levite experiences financial difficulties, he was permitted to lease his house in one of the Levitical cities, presumably only to another Levite. However, the original owner always maintained the option of redemption.
