Why does the Lord refer to the nation’s redemption from Egypt?

Lévitique 22:33 (NEG79)

33 et qui vous ai fait sortir du pays d'Egypte pour être votre Dieu. Je suis l'Eternel.

The Hebrew’s redemption from Egypt serves as the basis or motivation for their conduct in worship. The Lord graciously delivered his people from bondage to slavery. In response to his mercy, they are called to worship him appropriately. That is, in accordance with the way he has revealed. According to Ross, the faith of Israel was centered in a person, the Lord, who redeemed them and sanctified them. He deserved all their obedience.1
