As we read further in the blessing, we observe marks of the serious nature of Solomon’s understanding of what he was asking of the Lord. He uses language comparable to the language that he used in his prayer. He asked that his requests of the Lord might find a place near the heart of the Lord and that this would not be a temporary condition but one that continued day and night.
