Did Paul always write his own letters, and why would he do so?

Galates 6:11 (NEG79)

11 Voyez avec quelles grandes lettres je vous ai écrit de ma propre main.

Paul did not always write the letters with his own hand. He often made use of an amanuensis, a person who wrote down what Paul told him to say (see Romans 16:22). 1 In most cases, however, he would conclude a letter by taking the pen from the amanuensis to write the final words in his own hand (1 Corinthians 16:21; Colossians 4:18; 2 Thessalonians 3:17; Philemon 1:19). 2 This was likely done to help believers know that the letter that they received was genuine and came from him. 3
