In Jesus we see someone who for a short while was placed in a lowly position. However, he was crowned with glory and honour because of the death that he suffered. It is through this man that God brings many sons to glory (Hebrews 2:10). In Jesus we see how attentive God is to man. It is in Jesus’ sharing in our flesh that he broke the power of the devil (Hebrews 2:14–15), because God has chosen to rule over his creation through man of flesh and blood.
