Paul argues that the promises spoken by God to Abraham find their fulfillment in Christ.1 He is the representative offspring of Abraham (Galatians 3:16) who came to crush the serpent (Genesis 3:15).2 Through his obedience he earned the right of inheritance (Galatians 3:18) which he shares with all those who are united to him (Galatians 3:29).
